When an item is marked Received in ComCat, the system attempts to create a temporary item record for the requested title in the borrowing library's local system. If an item with that barcode already exists, staff will encounter this error:
Cannot receive item. (Item with barcode 019283759029 already exists.; )
To get around this error staff will need to:
- Delete the temporary item record in the local system that uses the barcode. If assistance is needed, please contact your network office for assistance.
- Try marking the item as Received in ComCat again.
