Requests in "Awaiting Approval" status require staff action in order to move on. They will not go to any potential lenders until approved by staff.
Requests can go into "Awaiting Approval" for a couple of reasons.
- The patron added a note when placing the request.
- The patron's permissions in ComCat are set so manual approval of requests is required (not common).
Staff can move requests out of "Awaiting Approval" status at any time:
1. Open the request in the full record display, and select "approved-send" from the list of status options.

2. Click "Submit" (upper right) to change the request status.
3. In the case that the request has no possible lenders, you will see message to supply at least one lender.**
If you would like, you may try to rebuild the lender list, in case any new copies of the title were added at ComCat libraries recently. Scroll down to the "lender list" box and select "rebuild lender list."

If no possible lenders are added after you try to rebuild the lender list, then there are still no lenders in ComCat. You can change the request status to Canceled to move it out of Awaiting Approval.
